TV series SCOPE features Centre work

In the story, Centre Research Fellow Dr Kim Johnson from the University of Melbourne presents elements of her work on characterising cell wall-sensing pathways that monitor the status of the cell walls during growth.  They have identified a cell wall sensor that regulates the outer wall of the epidermis, or skin, of the plant.  By strengthening or loosening this wall it can affect how the plant grows, and how they respond to the world around them.
